Application Fee : For all the posts the application fee for General, EBC and BC candidates shall be Rs.750/- (Rupees seven hundred fifty) only and for SC/ST candidates of Jharkhand state Rs.500/-(Rupees five hundred) only.

How to apply : The applicants are to apply only through on line on the website of CBIP at cbip.org. The web site shall be kept open from 26-12-2011 to 25-01-2012. After filling up the ON- LINE application, candidates have to take print out of the same. Print out of the application along with copies of certificates of Age, Qualifications, Caste, PH, two recent photographs, original receipt of the bank (if paying through online system) and the Demand Draft as specified on website should be sent through registered post/speed post to : The Director (Energy), Central Board of Irrigation & Power, Malcha Marg, Chanakyapuri,New Delhi-110021,
Documents to be submitted along with the application by post :-

General Instructions:
1. Reservation will be given in terms of reservation rules and policies of Govt. of Jharkhand. The candidates who are not resident of Jharkhand are eligible to apply only for UR posts. Reservation to physicaly handicapped person is applicable as per rules of Govt. of Jharkhand and guidelines of Ministry of Social Justice and Environment, Govt. of India.
2. The candidates who claim for reservation benefits will have to submit along with the application the residential certificate, caste certificate and non-creamy layer certificate as applicable issued by the Competent Authority of Govt. of Jharkhand (SDO/DC). Non creamy layer certificate must not have been issued before six month from the date of advertisement.
3. Candidate selected for the post of code 101 to 106 will be placed in the pay band of Rs.9300-34,800/- with grade pay Rs.4600/- and other allowances and benefits as admissible from time to time in the Nigam and will be placed on job training initially for a period of 01(one) year with effect from the date of joining. On completion of training, the candidates will be given one increment and shall be on probation period of one year.
4. On completion of satisfactory probation period, they will be placed in the pay band of Rs.9300-34,800/- plus grade pay Rs.5500/- with other allowances and benefits as applicable.
5. Candidates selected for the post code 107 to 111 will be placed directly in the pay scale of Rs.9300-34,800/- plus grade pay of Rs.5500/- with other allowances and benefits as applicable.
6. All the candidate selected for appointment will be required to execute a service agreement bond of Rs.1,00,000/-(Rupees one lac) only for serving at least 03(three) years in Tenughat Vidyut Nigam Limited to be submitted in the prescribed format at the time of joining.
7. For all the posts the application fee for General, EBC and BC candidates shall be Rs.750/- (Rupees seven hundred fifty) only and for SC/ST candidates of Jharkhand state Rs.500/-(Rupees five hundred) only. The fee shall be deposited in the form of demand draft drawn in favour of “Central Board of Irrigation & Power”, payable at New Delhi or by online system of ICICI & HDFC banks (NEFT/RTGS). 8. The application fee is non refundable. Before submission of application candidate must ensure that Bank draftis correct in all respect. In case of non receipt of demand draft along with the hard copy of application/non encashment of the Bank draft or incorrect Bank draft, the application likely to be rejected.
9. The candidates are advised to indicate the DD Number, Drawee Bank and Branch, if paying through demand draft, and Transaction ID/UTR No.(Unique Transaction Reference), if paying through online system of ICICI/HDFC Bank in the online application form.

Tenughat Vidyut Nigam Limited is a power generating company incorporated on 26.11.1987 under Indian Company’s Act, 1956. TVNL, a Govt. of Jharkhand Undertaking is having its corporate office at Ranchi. The project site known as Tenughat Thermal Power Station (TTPS) is located at village Lalpania in Dist‐Bokaro. The project is situated on the bank of Tenughat reservoir. The nearest railway station is Gomia which is at a distance of 20 KM approx. and the nearest airport is Ranchi which is at a distance of approx. 100 KM by road. The project site at Lalpania has a well developed colony with essential facilities like school, hospital, bank, post office, marketing complex etc. The total installed capacity of Tenughat Thermal Power Station is 420MW having two units of 210 MW capacity each. The first unit of 210MW was put under commercial operation in September 1996 and second unit of 210MW in September 1997. The daily requirement of coal for full load generation from its 2×210 MW units is a approximately 7000 MTs which is met from coal mines of CCL situated in the vicinity of plant within 50 Kms. The organization is being managed by a dedicated team of 565 employees. TTPS has an acquired land of approx. 1800 acre. The project was earlier envisaged to be developed in three phases with an ultimate capacity of 1550MW (2x210MW+ 3X210MW+ 1X500MW). TVNL has planned its future expansion at existing site by addition of 2×660 MW units. It is also planning for setting up a 2×660 MW green field project near Rajbar Coal Block. TVNL owns three coal blocks located at Badam, Gondulpara & Rajbar (E&D) all within the State of Jharkhand. The Gondulpara coal block is allotted jointely with DVC on 50:50 sharing basis. TVNL has already formed as JV Company with EMTA for the development of Badam & Gondulpara coal blocks. Detailed exploration work of Rajbar completed and GR is under preparation. The estimated reserve of Badam coal block is 144 MMT, Gondulpara is 165 MMT and Rajbar (E&D) is 385 MMT.Dissemination of technical information through various modes, e.g., publication of journals, manuals, technical, reports, guidelines, organizing seminars & conferences, etc. To provide consultancy services and training.
