Job Description for Lead:
Essential Skills
• 5+ years experience in Performance testing
• In-depth knowledge and experience in Performance Testing Methodologies and Best Practices
• Extensive hands on experience with HP LoadRunner tool (expert level knowledge in Web (http/html), webservices, RTE protocols).
• Good Understanding of the n- tier architectures of JAVA/J2EE , dot Net applications.
• Leadership skills - Able to lead this effort from start to finish (Requirement gathering till project closure) - be able to lead/manage multiple teams/projects.
• Plan, design and document various performance test types (Load , Stress , Endurance tests )as well as other non functional requirements
• Analyze and provide Performance test report with remediation and recommendations.
• Team Builder - Capable of mentoring new resources to meet the requirements. Able to perform well in the Onshore-offshore model.
• Must have exceptional ability in analyzing and summarizing test results for performance bottlenecks.
• Delivery quality solutions consistent with the test strategy and master test plans
• Very good communication skills - Able to communicate with all levels of management and communicate with clients
• Monitoring & basic knowledge of tuning opportunities at various web/app/db servers.
Preferred/Extra Skills
• Exposure to White box testing
• Identify/evaluate internal handy tools for any problems /prospects/Projects in the form of Excel macros
• Wily Intrascope Monitoring
• ITCAM – IBM Tivoli for composite application Monitoring.
Role/Responsibilities
As a Test lead for Performance testing team, will be responsible for Performance testing efforts in multiple Projects, participating in various Performance Test Stakeholders Meetings, development of detailed Test Plans, coordinating the various Performance Testing activities, designing and execution of Test Scripts & Scenarios, monitoring of required servers and network to assess the performance of the application under test in order to ensure that quality solutions are delivered to Client.
